Garden and Explore:
Every Friday WCS members go to the Food and Farm Lab, a demonstration garden at the Irvine Great Park where community members can learn about growing and tending fruits and vegetables. WCS has four raised beds where we grow various greens, tomatoes and peppers from seeds and sprouts that are used in our cooking class at the center. Come on out and get your hands dirty!
Park Adventures:
South Orange County has many green spaces and parks where the community can enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Every Saturday we visit a different park—usually along Aliso Creek—where we see many birds, animals and plants. Along the way we also remove litter to help keep our green spaces clean. Join us for the light exercise and comradery.
