Work-Order-Day is Wellness Center South’s volunteer program that enables members to gain real world job experience, right here at WCS. The purpose of the program is to help members develop self-esteem, confidence and friendships, which make up the foundation of the recovery process.
The Work-Order – Day is organized into 3 teams. Division meetings and orientations are held to foster relationships as well as to organize and plan the work of the day.
Administration Team duties may include: answering incoming calls, assist with making copies, and other clerical tasks.
Peer Team duties may include: Community outreach, event planning, Groups Facilitator, resource room concierge, program tours, and welcoming specialist.
Maintenance Team duties may include: Kitchen cleaning, organizing art room, sweeping, dusting, and watering WCS’s garden.
